Hero cop praised for saving driver’s life after crash in Na Jomtien
Quick-thinking patrol officer saves a man’s life after finding him unconscious and pulseless inside his crashed car. PATTAYA, Thailand – A patrol officer in Na Jomtien is being praised for his swift response after a 63-year-old man lost consciousness behind the wheel, crashed his car into a footpath, and showed no signs of life. The incident occurred on June 26, on the road beside Wat Nong Jab Tao, opposite the police substation in Na Jomtien, Sattahip District. A gray Honda sedan had reportedly sideswiped another vehicle before veering off and hitting the curb. Police Lance Corporal Nopparit Suwannarat, stationed nearby, immediately rushed to the scene when he saw the crash. Upon finding the unconscious driver with no pulse, he performed CPR until the man’s heartbeat was restored. Rescue personnel from Sawang Rojanathammasathan Foundation then transported the man to Wat Yan Hospital. The driver, identified as Mr. Nathee, 63, reportedly suffers from multiple underlying health conditions. Witnesses believe he may have lost consciousness while driving, leading to the accident.
