Pattaya hosts firefighting and rescue training for Children at ASEAN Learning Center
Pattaya’s Disaster Prevention team provides hands-on firefighting and rescue training to children at the ASEAN Learning Center.
PATTAYA, Thailand – The Pattaya Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department organized a hands-on training workshop on firefighting, first aid, rescue operations, fire evacuation, and disaster survival for children and staff at the ASEAN Learning Center, operated by the HHN Foundation for Thai children.
The training was led by Watchapon Nakthong, a Disaster Prevention Officer, along with his team from Pattaya’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division. The session included both theoretical and practical lessons designed to equip children and teachers with essential knowledge and skills to respond safely and effectively in the event of fires or other emergencies.
Key topics covered included understanding the causes of fire and fire hazards, accident prevention, safe behaviors, the proper use of different types of fire extinguishing equipment, and correct fire evacuation procedures. The program aimed not only to build safety skills but also to instill a mindset of self-protection and readiness among children during emergencies.
This initiative underscores Pattaya’s commitment to community safety by educating the younger generation on how to protect themselves and others in critical situations.
