The victim, Nawakorn Thongpha, shared a video of the incident on his Facebook account on April 30, along with a description of the events. The altercation occurred on Soi Jomtien 5 in Pattaya at around 1pm.
Nawakorn explained that he was driving his white sedan along Soi Jomtien 5, which operates as a one-way street. He unexpectedly encountered a bronze-gold sedan being driven in the wrong direction.
The sedan driver pressured Nawakorn to reverse to allow him through, but Nawakorn was unable to do so as there were several vehicles behind him.
The suspect exited his vehicle and began shouting at Nawakorn. He kicked the car, punched the side mirror, and kicked it again until it broke. He then challenged Nawakorn to exit the vehicle and fight, but Nawakorn remained inside for his safety.

The suspect continued his rampage, repeatedly punching and kicking the vehicle. He attempted to open the car door, but fortunately, Nawakorn had locked all the doors. During the confrontation, the suspect was heard boasting…
“My father is a police officer. You must let me go this way!”

A second man, wearing a brown T-shirt and a belt bag, who was reportedly accompanying the suspect, intervened and apologised to Nawakorn before the video ended.
Nawakorn stated that he obtained the video from a witness and was later informed by locals that the two men had earlier been involved in an argument with a motorcycle sidecar rider on nearby Soi Jomtien 2.

He immediately contacted the local police and later filed a report at Mueang Pattaya Police Station. However, officers failed to apprehend the suspect. This prompted Nawakorn to release the footage publicly in the hope of drawing greater attention to the case.

The story was picked up by Thai media outlets including Channel 7 and DailyNews. According to DailyNews, police claimed they had confiscated the suspect’s car following the incident. The suspect reportedly expressed a willingness to settle the matter amicably, but Nawakorn declined to compromise.
