BCCT celebrates business excellence at inaugural Eastern Economic Corridor International Business Awards
BCCT officials, sponsors, and award winners pose on stage at the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand’s inaugural Eastern Economic Corridor International Business Awards (EECIBA) held at Pullman Pattaya Hotel G, celebrating outstanding achievements and the inclusive spirit driving the future of Thailand’s EEC.
PATTAYA, Thailand – On 25th June 2025, the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) proudly hosted its inaugural Eastern Economic Corridor International Business Awards (EECIBA) at Pullman Pattaya Hotel G. The event attracted over 150 BCCT members, business leaders, and distinguished guests, all gathered to honour outstanding achievements shaping the future of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
Greg Watkins MBE, (left) BCCT Executive Director, extends a warm welcome to guests, followed by Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), delivering a keynote address highlighting transformative projects like the high-speed rail connecting U-Tapao and Bangkok and the Laem Chabang port expansion, emphasizing the EEC’s crucial role in driving Thailand’s economic growth.
Established in 1946, BCCT is Thailand’s oldest foreign chamber, representing approximately 500 member companies that employ over 250,000 people across the country. The evening opened with a warm welcome from Greg Watkins MBE, BCCT Executive Director since 1996. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), who highlighted major projects such as the high-speed rail connecting U-Tapao and Bangkok and the expansion of Laem Chabang deepwater port, underlining the region’s pivotal role in Thailand’s economic development.
The judging panel comprised esteemed professionals recognized for their expertise and leadership in their respective fields (l–r): Pinyapa Somphong, Kraisorn Chatlekavanich, Dr. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, Noah Shepherd, and Gareth Davies.
The awards were open to companies and individuals of all nationalities, including non-members, demonstrating BCCT’s commitment to inclusivity and business excellence. The judging panel comprised esteemed professionals recognized for their expertise and leadership in their respective fields:
Pinyapa Somphong, a senior executive specializing in corporate governance and sustainability initiatives across Thailand’s industrial sectors, noted for her leadership in environmental and social responsibility projects.
Kraisorn Chatlekavanich, a seasoned business strategist and consultant with extensive experience in Southeast Asia’s manufacturing and export industries, focusing on business development and operational excellence.
Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, an economist and academic advisor with a PhD in Economics, renowned for his work on regional economic development, innovation ecosystems, and SME growth in the Eastern Economic Corridor.
Noah Shepherd, an international business analyst with over two decades of experience in market research, cross-border trade facilitation, and investment promotion within ASEAN markets.
Gareth Davies, a veteran corporate lawyer and executive specializing in international trade law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance for multinational corporations operating in Thailand.
Celebrating Corporate Excellence
The Most Innovative Company Award, sponsored by WHA Corporation PCL and judged on groundbreaking products or services, market impact, and scalability, was presented to MonoGPS Co., Ltd as the winner, with POSCO Coated Steel (Thailand) Co., Ltd as runner-up and Danieli Co., Ltd in third place.

For the Outstanding SME Award, recognising revenue growth, employee satisfaction, and market presence, British Learning Centre claimed first place, followed by Green Innovation Trading & Service Co., Ltd as runner-up and Lion Digital Marketing Co., Ltd in third place.

Finally, the Outstanding Employer Award, sponsored by Phyathai Sriracha Hospital Public Company Limited and based on employee wellbeing and workplace culture, was given to Senior Aerospace Thailand Limited. Alliance Laundry (Thailand) Co., Ltd was runner-up, with Rugby School Thailand in third place.
Honouring Individual Achievement
In the Exceptional Young Entrepreneur Award category, recognising innovators under 30, Gorngris Kositsakul was named winner, with Paradorn Wannasung as runner-up and Peemapas Watcharapalakorn in third place.
