South Korean man injured in restaurant bill dispute with Pattaya womenLegacyA South Korean man sustained a cut wound to his hand after attempting to wrest a knife from a Thai woman during a dispute over a restaurant bill in Pattaya. Rescuers from the Sawang Borriboon Dhammasathan Foundation were dispatched to a small alley near Pattaya Walking Street at around 9am, yesterday, April 23, to provide first aid to the 32 year old South Korean man, Mugyeom. He suffered a deep cut to his right hand and was bleeding heavily. The man appeared angry and directed complaints towards three Thai women present at the scene. One of them was reportedly in tears and had a bloodstain on her dress. One of the Thai women, 26 year old Chorphaka, informed rescuers that Mugyeom took her friend to an entertainment venue before they dined together in the morning. Her friend invited her and another friend to join them at the restaurant. According to Chorphaka, Mugyeom ordered food and alcohol and enjoyed the meal as usual. He then asked her friend to pay the bill in advance, assuring her that he would reimburse her upon returning to his condominium. Photo via Facebook/ เก็บข่าวพัทยา However, once they arrived at his residence, Mugyeom allegedly refused to pay, prompting a heated argument between him and the three women. Loading… Wishing to avoid further confrontation, the women attempted to leave the premises, but Mugyeom reportedly blocked their exit. They fled the condominium, but he pursued them. Chorphaka | Photo via Facebook/ เก็บข่าวพัทยา Upon reaching the alley, the South Korean man aggressively confronted the group. One of the women, frightened by his behaviour, reportedly grabbed a knife from a nearby food cart in self-defence. Chorphaka stated that her friend merely held the knife to protect herself and did not attempt to harm Mugyeom. However, he tried to seize the knife and injured his right hand. Officers plan to summon the South Korean man for questioning once his condition improves. The story South Korean man injured in restaurant bill dispute with Pattaya women as seen on Thaiger News.

Thai ex-wife and new partner of foreign man brawl in Pattaya barLegacy Drama erupted in the twilight hours of today as a foreign man’s boozy bar night in Pattaya spiralled into chaos. His Thai ex-wife clashed with his new partner, igniting a fierce brawl that left onlookers stunned. Rescuers from the Sawang Borriboon Dhammastan Foundation rushed to a bar in the Jomtien area of Pattaya to transport two injured women to a hospital today, April 23. The two were identified as 40 year old Yu and 43 year old Pha. Both sustained serious injuries to their heads and noses, and their faces were covered in blood. Upon the rescue team’s arrival, bar patrons were attempting to separate the two women, who continued to attack each other despite their injuries. Broken glass bottles were scattered on the floor, posing a danger to other guests. Pha told rescuers that she saw her foreign husband drinking with his ex-wife, Yu, and approached them. She claimed she only greeted Yu, but Yu allegedly responded by smashing a glass bottle over her head. According to Pha, Yu then encouraged the man to leave the bar with her. The two reportedly walked about 50 metres from the venue before Pha caught up with them and attacked Yu, escalating the situation into chaos. The salon owner and her workers eventually separated them from each other and sought assistance from the rescue team. Rescuers intervened and transported them to a hospital. They advised both parties to file a formal complaint with the police. It is unclear whether either woman has decided to pursue legal action. Photo via DailyNews A similar jealousy-driven assault was reported in Bangkok on April 21. In that case, a pregnant Thai woman followed her husband to a love hotel, where she discovered him with his mistress. The pregnant wife brutally assaulted the other woman, who later died from her injuries in a hospital. Photo via DailyNews Another brawl motivated by jealousy was reported in the southern province of Songkhla last month when a Thai woman and her husband’s alleged mistress engaged in a high-speed car chase on a public road. They later parked to settle the matter but failed. The woman physically assaulted the alleged mistress and damaged her car. Pattaya beauty clinic busted for illegal medical practicesLegacyPolice raided a beauty clinic in Soi Kor Phai, off Thepprasit Road in Pattaya following complaints about unlicensed operations and unqualified staff performing medical procedures. The clinic, which promised beauty enhancement services, was caught red-handed today, April 23, operating without the proper legal permits and medical certifications. Police Major General Teerachai Chamnarnmor, Commander of the Region 2 Investigation Division, led a team of investigators, including Jirasan Meerattanawat, Senior Specialist Pharmacist, and officials from Chon Buri’s Provincial Public Health office, to inspect the clinic after multiple reports of substandard and illegal practices. The clinic, located in a four-storey commercial building, was found offering various beauty services such as injectable fillers, Botox, and skin vitamin treatments, all without licensed medical professionals. Upon entering the clinic, the officers encountered a 35 year old receptionist, called A in this article, who, along with other staff members, was promoting unapproved treatments. Loading… As they moved through the clinic, officers discovered an alarming scene. On the ground floor, they found a 37 year old woman, B, administering a filler injection to a client, assisted by another staff member, C, also aged 37. Further investigation revealed a second-floor room filled with medical supplies, including Botox, syringes, and filler substances, while the third floor had been converted into a facial massage room. When asked for the clinic’s operating permits and medical licences, none were provided. The clinic’s staff had no certification or proof of professional qualifications, raising serious concerns about patient safety. As a result, all staff members were taken into custody for questioning at Pattaya City Police Station. Jirasan Meerattanawat explained that the Public Health Office had received numerous complaints about the clinic’s use of unqualified persons performing medical procedures, prompting the urgent investigation. The police have now filed multiple charges against the clinic, including operating without a licence, running an illegal medical facility, and performing medical services without a valid licence, reported Pattaya Mail. Legal proceedings are ongoing, and police promised to continue cracking down on unlicensed medical operations, ensuring that public safety is a top priority. Fake Pattaya taxi rider arrested for stealing from Russian womanLegacyPolice arrested a Thai man who posed as a motorcycle taxi rider, stole from a Russian woman, and attempted to rob a Thai woman in Pattaya at the weekend. The Thai woman, 21 year old Wichayada, and the Russian woman, Liliia, lodged complaints with Mueang Pattaya Police Station on Sunday, April 20, after being targeted by a man impersonating a motorcycle taxi rider in Soi Phratamnak, Pattaya. Wichayada reported that the man offered her a ride, which she declined, choosing instead to walk away. Unexpectedly, he followed her and brandished a firearm, threatening her to hand over her valuables. Fortunately, Wichayada managed to seek help from staff at a nearby hotel. Liliia reported that she was with a friend and her three year old daughter when the suspect approached and threatened her with a gun, prompting her to hand over 3,100 baht in cash out of fear. Police reviewed CCTV footage and identified the suspect as 30 year old Ukrit Mangkang. He was not a legitimate motorcycle taxi rider but disguised himself as one to target victims, usually women travelling alone at night. Ukrit now faces two charges: Section 337 of the Criminal Law: Using threats or violence to force another person to surrender property or provide benefits. • Koh Larn to get new police station amid tourist boom

Koh Larn to get new police station amid tourist boomLegacyWith more than 10,000 tourists descending on Koh Larn every day, officials have finally responded to mounting concerns about safety and stretched police resources by announcing plans for a brand-new police substation at Tawaen Beach. In a recent meeting held at Pattaya City’s branch office on the island, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Manoch Nongyai, Permanent Secretary Kiatthisak Sriwongchai, and other key officials discussed the urgent need to bolster law enforcement on Koh Larn. The island, known for its pristine beaches and popularity among both Thai and foreign tourists, is struggling to cope with the growing number of visitors and its permanent residents. “Koh Larn welcomes around 10,000 tourists every single day. The current police force from Pattaya Police Station simply cannot provide the level of safety and coverage required for such a busy island.” To address the problem, officers have agreed on a collaborative plan. Pattaya City will provide the land for the substation and install CCTV cameras around the area. The Chon Buri Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO) will step in with essential equipment, including patrol vehicles and prisoner transport vans. Pattaya Police Station will assign additional officers to staff the new post. The new substation will be strategically located near the Pattaya City branch office at Tawaen Beach, one of the busiest areas on the island, to ensure quicker response times and better visibility of police presence. Worapot Pongpalee, representing the Chon Buri PAO, confirmed the organisation’s commitment to public safety, stating that their support will extend to areas beyond Pattaya City’s administrative capabilities. “We’re focused on ensuring both residents and tourists can feel safe and secure while enjoying everything Koh Larn has to offer.” The project is expected to be rolled out soon, offering a much-needed solution to rising concerns over crime, traffic, and emergency response times on the island, reported The Pattaya News. With tourist numbers continuing to surge, the new police substation could be a game-changer for Koh Larn, boosting confidence, improving safety, and helping maintain the island’s image as one of Thailand’s top seaside getaways. Taiwanese man attacked by Pattaya homeless with no prior conflictLegacyA Taiwanese man issued a warning to others after he was attacked with a wooden stick by a homeless man outside a restaurant in southern Pattaya last weekend. A reward is being offered for anyone with useful information leading to the arrest of the attacker. The Taiwanese victim and his Thai girlfriend reported the incident to the public yesterday, April 21. They shared CCTV footage of the assault, along with details of the case, with several news agencies in the hope that the attacker would be apprehended. According to the foreign man, his girlfriend asked him to collect food from a delivery rider at approximately 4.20pm on Sunday. He went downstairs and sat outside a closed restaurant while waiting for the food. He heard loud noises coming from a homeless man nearby but ignored him and continued using his phone. Unexpectedly, the homeless man approached him, holding a bottle of beer in one hand and a wooden stick in the other, and suddenly struck him on the side of the head with the stick. The blow landed near his ear, causing a bloody wound. Loading… The attacker then walked away, leaving the Taiwanese man in shock and fear. • Mum’s pep talk stops runaway gunman after he shot his wife

Mum’s pep talk stops runaway gunman after he shot his wifeLegacyAn armed and dangerous 27 year old man who shot his wife was caught within hours, thanks to rapid coordination between Pattaya and Kanchanaburi police and a well-timed pep talk from his mum. The chaos began around 8.40.m, yesterday, April 21, in Pattaya’s Nongprue area, where police rushed to a rented room after reports of gunfire. There, they found that Thanomsak (surname withheld) had allegedly shot his wife, bundled her into a pickup, and fled the scene. Detectives wasted no time, using intelligence tools and AI tracking to trace his route west to Kanchanaburi. By the early hours, officers had pinpointed him hiding out at his mother’s home in Nongkhao, Tha Muang district. Thanomsak’s injured wife was released and taken to hospital, while his mum reportedly convinced him to lay down his weapon and surrender peacefully just before the Pattaya police team arrived. Thanks to the swift inter-provincial operation, the case was wrapped up the same night. Picture of the crime scene courtesy of Pattaya News Meanwhile, another case of alleged domestic horror unfolded in Ratchaburi, where a soldier turned himself in to police after reportedly shooting his 28 year old wife during a heated row at their home in the Mueang subdistrict. The soldier, named as Sergeant Major Thawisak, fled the scene after the incident but later arranged to surrender via relatives. He was picked up by investigators at Bang Phra intersection and taken into custody. Police also retrieved the firearm used in the shooting, now held as evidence. Military legal officers have joined the investigation due to Thawisak’s active-duty status. A friend of the suspect, Sgt. Bird, painted a complex picture, describing him as a “good-hearted person” devoted to his wife and child, though admitting there were tensions. “They sometimes argued because she often went back to her parents’ place to look after them. I never saw signs of cheating, but who really knows?” Both cases have reignited public concern over rising domestic violence, with netizens calling for tougher crackdowns and better support for victims.
